I am making some small gifts for my etsy shop and started with making keychains. I wanted to make kokeshi doll but I dont like sewing the small pieces in amigurumi. So I made my own pattern with less sewing parts :)   The gauge is not important with the pattern, depending on your yarn-hook choice the size of kokeshi doll will change.  I used 2.00mm crochet hook and fingering weight yarn and she is 12cm long. The pattern is made in a continuous spiral, without joining rounds or turning. Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the beginning of a round. Move the marker up when you complete the round.
